How We Partner with Special Olympics

We are proud of our national partnership with Special Olympics International. Our work together began in 2019 and since then we’ve been supporting athletes in their journey to finding care and educating them on the importance of maintaining good oral hygiene. By volunteering at events across the country and advocating for inclusivity, we are focused on closing the gap that patients with disabilities have in receiving comprehensive oral healthcare.

Special Olympics is on a mission to provide year-round sports training and athletic competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for children and adults with intellectual disabilities, giving them continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.

How We Help

We support athletes by making quality oral healthcare more convenient for them. Also, we educate athletes and their caregivers about the health benefits of maintaining good oral hygiene at home and visiting their dentist at least twice a year.
