About The Author

Dr. Carolyn Ghazal is a distinguished dentist and chair of GP Platform Development at PDS Health, where she has been an integral part of the team for over 30 years. Her journey in dentistry began with a passion ignited early in her career, and through the esteemed mentorship of Dr. Stephen Thorne III, she honed her skills in both clinical practice and patient care. After serving as an associate dentist, Dr. Ghazal transitioned to a multi-office owner in partnership with PDS Health, establishing herself as the founding owner dentist in Northern California and Nevada.

As a key leader in the National Clinical Council, she oversees efforts to develop best practices and advance clinical standards across the country, working closely with regional clinical partners. Her career exemplifies the importance of mentorship, dedication, and a proactive approach to dental care.

In addition to her clinical work, she is a dedicated contributor to the Generations of Smile magazine. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. She is an active member of the California Dental Association and the American Dental Association, continually advocating for high standards in dental practice.
